Today's Apple. . .
Jesus said, "Feed my sheep."
John 21:17
Chew on it. . .
Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He told one of His followers to feed His sheep. He wasn't talking about delicious apples from a tree, nor was He referring to those cuddly, cute lambs of the field. Jesus was talking about us feeding one another with the fruit of our lives. We don't have to be preachers or teachers or scholars to feed others. We don't have to be rich or pretty or perfect either. We offer spiritual food by giving ourselves - our words, time, talents, and money - in the ordinary moments of our daily lives. That's how we were designed - to bear fruit - fruit that feeds and nourishes Jesus' other sheep.
Savor the Flavor. . .
Father, help me not to be selfish with the fruit of my life.
It is a privilege to serve You by serving others. I release my hold on my time, talents, and resources that together we might feed Your sheep.
